what are some healthy fast food options?
The closest restaurants to my work are fast food, including Taco Bell, Subway, A&W, McDonalds and Sonic. Does anyone know some healthy options to eat at these places, and others, to keep me from gaining a ton of weight?

- You could take a healthy lunch.
- They do have healthier options now at McDonalds. They have different types of salads, including caesar. Subway is a great place for those who are on a heathy diet. They have a variety of sandwiches, which have meat and vegetab;les in it, depending on the type you order.
- no fries is a start
- Wendy's has a great salad variety.
- take a protein shake to work and some fruit.. naturade makes a good one. you will save $$$$$ and lose weight. you will feel better as well.
- I don't think you can get anything healthy at sonic although out of the four, it is my favorite. If you are trying to be healthy, eat the salad options at mcdonald's and subway has lots of healthy items on their menus. I'd splurge at least once a week at sonic though. All that healthy food will give you the runs. A large Vanilla Dr. Pepper with Regular Cheese Tots and a Corn Dog. Must haves.
- Subway? It worked for that guy on the subway commercial! Really, I don't think any fastfood is healthy.
- Subway is has a lot of low-fat options. So you're not stuck eating a salad everyday. They have an extensive menu of subs that are low fat / low calorie. If I go to McDonald's I order the grilled chicken cesar salad with the low-fat balsamic dressing -- it's nearly fat free and high in protein.
- check out www.prevention.com. there is an article in the archives that gives the worst and best fast food choices from all of the top fast food chains. it was a great help for my hubbie and me since we both eat out lunches at least half of the time. you can only take so many brown bag lunches in week!!!
- DON'T EAT IT! Many of the fast food joints are now boasting healthy options, but it is still "easy to eat more than an entire day's worth of fat and calories in a value meal."
